American Legion Post 67 Cary Colts 16U beat Clayton 6-3 in seven innings on Thursday at Clayton behind Johnny Ankner, who collected three hits.

He singled in the first and fourth innings and doubled in the sixth inning.

American Legion Post 67 Cary Colts 16U never surrendered the lead after the first inning, scoring two runs on a two-run single by Noah Marshall.

Clayton scored one run in the bottom of the second to cut its deficit to one. An error gave Claton life. Trevor Windom ended the inning by getting Lewis to fly out.

American Legion Post 67 Cary Colts 16U took the lead in the fourth inning and held on for the victory. American Legion Post 67 Cary Colts 16U went up for good on an RBI single by Alex Seidman off Cox, bringing home Johnny Ankner.
